Product Description & Reviews
About The Bombilla
"In its simplest form the bombilla is a reed or thin joint of bamboo, over the lower end of which a few horsehairs have been woven, or a small bit of loose cloth has been tied.
"In its more advanced and mechanically perfect form, it's a tube closed at the lower end except for a number of small perforations.
"Its latest development is the product of the art of the silversmith, and consists of a tube, which has a little lid, which is perforated by numerous small openings."
This is the accurate report of an American traveler, W.J. Holland, in his book To the River Plate and Back, 1913.
